Kia FIXED the EV6 Regen Brake Lights! Voluntary Service Campaign Info and Test

A fix for the Kia EV6 regenerative brake light issue is now available in the USA. Until now, the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 would not light up the brake lights when using high levels of regen unless you fully let off the accelerator pedal. Kia has now put out a voluntary service campaign recall software update for the EV6 VCU (vehicle control unit) that illuminates the brake lights based on how quickly the vehicle slows down. This is a big safety update for the Kia EV6 and will surely be coming to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 soon. Let me know if you have any questions!
